I’ve been asked several times which Internet Marketing Strategies are most effective for the newbie looking to make money online as a marketer. I consider a strategy to really be the big picture. There are a variety of tools to that can be used to complement your strategy and help build your online business. For the newbie I would offer the following recommendations…

  • Effective Internet Marketing Strategies starts with goals. These must be your goals…what do you want to accomplish? Do you want to make a supplemental income to your day job or enough to make a car payment? Or maybe you are looking for quit your day job all together.
  • Start slowly and make a commitment. It is easy to be overwhelmed with information overload. Also, it can also be very tempting to want to jump from one marketing method to another. Trust me…I have been there and done that. I have bought many products; however, in looking back I see that I did not give many of those products a fair shot. I wouldn’t follow what they were trying to teach me, I looked for short cuts or I just never followed through with the product. The only person to blame was myself.
  • Identify your strengths. Are you a computer wiz, graphics specialist or someone who loves writing? Utilize these strengths to your advantage. I believe if you are doing something that you enjoy is then you are less likely to give up. If you love to write then maybe you focus on article marketing. There are many people making money online by offering their services to other marketers. It may seem like I’m stating the obvious but believe me it is easy to overlook your own strengths.
  • Use your time wisely. After your day job, school or kids activities there is only so much time left in the day for your marketing. Make sure that you accomplish something every day with the time that you have, even if it is only 15 minutes a day. Heck…in 15 minutes you can write a new article, build backlinks or record an instructional video.
  • Stay positive. So don’t be discouraged if you are not making money immediately. It may take time before you begin to see results. Proven Internet Marketing strategies are built for the long term success not flash-in-the-pan results.
  • Keep learning. There are many resources online that specialize in developing proven Internet Marketing strategies. You can learn how various marketing methods such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC), Article Marketing, Video Marketing and Cost Per Action (CPA) can be leveraged to help you succeed!
